First day back!

First day! It went by quickly. Today we discussed bathroom routines, flexible seating and active listening skills. We also had time to begin our STEM challenge- building a cantilever. We will be discussing the skills we need to have in order to be successful and learn while collaborating. Tomorrow, we will be brainstorming classroom rules and finishing our cantilevers. Students should bring in a book of their choosing (graphic novel, chapter book, nonfiction book) that is at their reading level by Friday. It was wonderful to meet my students after returning from maternity leave. I'm excited to be back in the classroom!

Welcome to Grade Four

A warm welcome to Grade Four! I hope you had a wonderful summer filled with time spent with family and friends. I wish to extend to you and your child my warmest welcome into my classroom. I will be teaching math and language in the afternoon. This week, students will be learning some of the procedures of the classroom as well as participating in some team-building activities as we learn about collaboration. Students should be bring a chapter book, graphic novel or non-fiction book to read for silent reading by Friday,September 6th. I look forward to teaching your child and the wonderful learning experiences we will share together as a class. Yours in learning, Mrs Zulpo
